The Sheriton
Introducing The Sheriton, the second project in the same building that showcases our team's expertise in transforming living spaces. Following a successful first project, our clients were so pleased with the result that they referred us to their friends, leading to The Sheriton. The space was originally dull and outdated, but we were able to recreate a luxurious and modern environment that has received high praise from visitors.
Located in Toronto's coveted Junction neighbourhood, this home dates back to the 1890s and required a complete transformation from the ground up. What was once a neglected and deteriorating property has been reimagined into a timeless family home that seamlessly blends historic Victorian charm with modern luxury.

The project began with a full gut renovation, allowing us to thoughtfully redesign every aspect of the home while preserving the character that makes these century homes so special. Throughout the renovation, we paid homage to the home's Victorian roots by incorporating elegant crown moulding, detailed wainscoting, and carefully selected architectural finishes that reflect the craftsmanship of the era.
To complement these traditional elements, modern design features were integrated throughout the home, creating a sophisticated balance between old and new. The bathrooms feature stunning black-and-white checkered marble floors inspired by classic Victorian design, paired with contemporary fixtures and finishes that elevate the space while maintaining its historic integrity.

One of the most significant changes was the complete reconfiguration of the layout. Walls were removed to create a bright and functional open-concept living space suited for modern family living. The staircase leading to the loft and rooftop terrace was relocated from the primary bedroom to the main hallway, transforming what was once a private feature into an amenity accessible to the entire household.

Perhaps the home's most remarkable feature is its expansive private rooftop terrace—a rare offering in the Junction. Designed as a secluded urban retreat, the terrace provides an exceptional outdoor living space unlike anything else in the surrounding area.
Every decision throughout this renovation was guided by a simple principle: honour the history of the home while preparing it for the future. What began as a house in severe disrepair has been transformed into a beautiful, enduring residence where Victorian elegance meets modern functionality—a home built to be enjoyed by generations to come.
